Goal for 2025 VCYouth

This summer goal is to cover the Core Truths of the Christian faith and we are having some fun as we go. Each activity coordinates with the lesson in some way. 
Each week in High School LifeGroup & in Middle School LifeGroup we are covering the Core Truths of the Christian faiths: Doctrine of God; Doctrine of Creation; Doctrine of Salvation (Part 1);Doctrine of Salvation (Part 2);Doctrine of the Holy Spirit ;Doctrine of the Church; Doctrine of Last Things. After each lesson youth will need to write their own statement of belief. By the end of the 7 weeks each youth will have their own statement of faith.

  • WEDNESDAY, JUNE 4TH - ONE GOD- HIKING AT HARGUS LAKE-MEET AT VC AND WE ARE DRIVING TOGETHER IN THE VC VAN AND PRE-APPROVED DRIVERS. 6:30PM-BACK AT VC BY 8:45PM
  • WEDNESDAY JUNE 11TH - SIN NATURE- WATER BALLOON NIGHT
  • WEDNESDAY, JUNE 18TH -NO MS LIFEGROUP
  • WEDNESDAY, JUNE 25TH -ONE SAVIOR- VIDEO GAME/ BOARD GAME NIGHT

JULY
  • WEDNESDAY, JULY 2ND - NO MS LIFEGROUP
  • WEDNESDAY, JULY 9TH -THE BIBLE- KICKBALL SLIP & SLIDE NIGHT
  • WEDNESDAY, JULY 16TH-ABSOLUTE TRUTH- PUT N’ PLAY IN GROVE CITY MEET AT VC. WE ARE DRIVING UP TOGETHER.
  • WEDNESDAY, JULY 23RD -LOVE GOD- SERVICE NIGHT
  • WEDNESDAY, JULY 30TH -FOLLOW GOD- ACTIVITY TBD

AUGUST:
  • WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 6TH - FINAL NIGHT FOR THE CORE TRUTHS- DODGEBALL NIGHT
  • WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 13TH - FIRST MIDDLE SCHOOL LIFEGROUP OF THE NEW SCHOOL YEAR.

HS LifeGRoup Calendar

June:
  • Sunday, June 1st- Park Time! Mary Virginia Crites Hannan Park 6pm-8:30 we are meeting at Village Chapel Church and taking the VCVan over to the park. We will return at VC youth building by 830pm- (Covering Doctrine of God/Creation) 

  • Sundy, June 8th- Put-n-play in Grove City 6pm-8:45pm-we are meeting at Village Chapel Church and taking the VCVan over to the park. We will return at VC youth building by 830pm. FREE. No money needed. -(Doctrine of God/Creation)
  • Sunday, June 15th – No LifeGroup meeting
  • Sunday, June 22nd-Saturday, June 28th- Week long mission trip to WV- No Weekly High School LifeGroup meeting.
  • Sunday, June 29th- Fire & S’mores night 6pm-8:30pm at VC- Mission Trip stories- (Doctrine of Salvation (Part 1) & (Part 2)
July
  • Sunday, July 6th Hines Family cookout 6pm-8:30pm at VC- more details to come 
  • Sunday, July 13th Slip n’ slide kickball night 6pm-8:30pm at VC- come & play

2025 High School Summer Mission Trip 

High School Summer Mission Trip!

Sunday, June 22nd - Saturday, Jun 28th

Cost $300 per person
·      Who can go? Any 8th graders moving into their freshman year of High School this summer and 12th graders exiting High School this summer. Parents are welcome to attend was well. 
·      Please contact Josh Riffle if you need a scholarship. We have plenty!

Location: West Virginia

What we will be doing:
·      Construction projects most of the week.  
·      A small VBS for kids.
·      Block party for community outreach.  
·      Fun Day: White Water rafting (this is included in your price)

High School LifeGroup
Sundays - 6pm-8pm
(meeting times might very during breaks and summer break)
HS LifeGroup (9th-12th grade) is designed to help High School youth to be a disciple to make a disciple. Each meeting has games, snacks, large group lesson, and small groups.


 Middle School LifeGroup
Wednesdays - 6:30pm-8pm

MS LifeGroup (6th-8th grade) is designed to help Middle School youth to be a disciple to make a disciple. Each meeting has games, snacks, large group lesson, and small groups.

Sunday Grow Group
Sundays- 9:30pm-10:15am
(meeting times might very during breaks and summer break)
This grow group is designed to help Middle Schoolers and High Schoolers study God’s word. This group is open to MS & HS youth. They meet every 6-weeks.

INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY

If a level 2 or 3 snow emergency is declared any time after 3:00 pm on a Wednesday or Sunday night, all Wednesday night  or Sunday night children and youth programming are cancelled. If a level 1 snow emergency is in affect Wednesday or Sunday night programming will take place but parents are asked to use their own discretion. If weather is forecasted to worsen and potentially exceed a level 1 snow emergency, all Wednesday or Sunday night programming will be cancelled and the cancellation communicated via email, texting system, and social media.
